SALTUS Slavonic Pride Vinyl LP (2001)

Polish black/death metal from 2001, pressed to vinyl in an edition of 500. That's the whole story, and it's a good one.

Saltus came out of Poland's raw extreme metal underground with Slavonic Pride (Słowiańska duma), a demo album steeped in the kind of cold, nationalistic fury that defined Eastern European black metal at the turn of the millennium. Poland has always punched hard in the extreme metal world, and this record is a relic of that era, grim and unpolished in all the right ways. Five hundred copies exist. This is one of them. The dark aesthetic here isn't cosplay, it's conviction pressed into wax.
