If you need an introduction to Rose Tattoo, you probably haven't spent enough time in Australian pubs, bikie clubhouses, or the heavier end of the Melbourne rock scene. The Tatts are a national institution, and Southern Stars is the 1984 record where Angry Anderson and the boys leaned harder into their blues and rock roots without losing any of the swagger that made them legends.

Southern Stars sits in an interesting place in the Rose Tattoo catalogue. It's a little more polished than the raw pub rock brutality of their debut, but it's still unmistakably them, rough-edged hard rock with a genuine feel for Australian blues grit. This is a band that influenced entire generations of Aussie hard rock and metal, and owning an original 1984 pressing of this record is owning a piece of that history. Used condition, so inspect before you play, but that's part of the deal with pre-loved vinyl.
