Read's project out of Edmonton has spent two decades as one of black metal's most single-minded forces, and this 2008 full-length sits squarely in the lineage of Conqueror, his earlier outfit with Ross Bay Cult connections. If Bestial Warlust taught you that subtlety is a weakness, Revenge confirms it with a hammer. Impiety and Cemetery Urn belong in the same breath, Disentomb for when you want the death metal end of that particular wrecking ball. This is not background music. This is not for the faint-hearted.
