Religious Observance are exactly what the local scene needed and probably didn't deserve, a raw, confrontational blast of hardcore punk noise from the same city that gave us a decades-long tradition of ugly, uncompromising underground music. This self-titled record sits comfortably in the lineage of raw punk and noise punk, equal parts blown-out production and genuine menace. The kind of tape you find at a show, shoved in a bin next to the door, and regret sleeping on later. Australian made, Melbourne born, absolutely not interested in being palatable.
