A glossy black raven mid-flight, clutching a red enamel rose with sparkling leaves and a red stone drop, trailing two strands of chain beneath. It's straight out of a Victorian mourning jewellery box, the kind of piece that gets pinned to a velvet blazer and immediately becomes the most interesting thing in the room.
