QUEENSRYCHE Operation Mindcrime Vinyl Signed 1988
In 1988, while everyone else was releasing hair metal fluff, Queensrÿche quietly dropped a dystopian concept record about political corruption, mind control, and a junkie assassin named Nikki. It went platinum. They were right about everything.
Operation Mindcrime is one of the genuine landmarks of progressive and heavy metal, a record that proved the genre could carry a narrative as dense as anything coming out of the art rock world, while still absolutely ripping. This is an original 1988 pressing, which already makes it a significant piece of vinyl for any serious metal collection, but this copy is signed by vocalist Geoff Tate, the voice behind some of the most technically demanding and emotionally loaded performances in the genre. Tate's tenor across this album remains a benchmark. If you know, you know. If you're just getting into it, start with "I Don't Believe in Love" and clear your afternoon.
Original 1988 US pressing. Full-length LP vinyl. Hand signed by Geoff Tate. Sold as-is, condition consistent with age and storage. Second-hand and signature items are non-returnable.
