Spoiler: it's not. Despite every think piece, every corporate co-opt, every fast fashion skull print, punk keeps crawling back out of the ground with its boots still on.

Three words that have been spray-painted on walls, sewn onto jackets, and screamed at authority since The Exploited made it their whole identity in 1981. This flag is a declaration, simple and non-negotiable. Hang it somewhere people will see it. Preferably somewhere it'll annoy someone. That's the point. The punk and alternative scene in Melbourne has always understood that this isn't just a slogan, it's a commitment to keeping something alive that mainstream culture keeps trying to bury.
