PRELLUDE A Estrada Do Rock (1998) CD
Brazilian heavy metal has always done things on its own terms, and the late nineties underground proved that emphatically.
Prellude came out of that era of South American heavy metal where the scene was fiercely self-sustaining, building its own circuit of bands, labels, and listeners largely disconnected from what Europe and North America were doing. A Estrada Do Rock sits in that lineage, a record rooted in the raw, direct energy of Brazilian hard rock and heavy metal with the kind of production that sounds like it was made by people who cared more about the songs than the budget. Rare to find outside of collector circles and well worth the dig.
