PINK FLOYD Division Bell Patch

1994. Pink Floyd release their final studio album, a record about communication and the failure of it, two enormous metallic faces staring at each other on the cover and saying absolutely nothing. Very relatable.

The Division Bell era gets overlooked in favour of the Syd Barrett mythology or the Wall theatrics, but this is the album that filled Earls Court for fourteen nights straight and made grown adults weep in the carpark. The imagery, designed by Storm Thorgerson, is iconic gothic surrealism before anyone was using that phrase, and this woven patch does it justice. Sew it on the back of your jacket between your Bauhaus and your Sabbath and watch people either nod immediately or ask you if it's a band.
