Australian death/thrash was never polite. In the late 80s and early 90s, a handful of bands crawled out of the suburban sprawl and made something genuinely ugly, and Persecution were among the ones who meant it.

Tortured Existence is one of those records that didn't get the flowers it deserved at the time, which makes wearing this patch now feel like a correction. It's a local scene artefact, and it belongs on a jacket that's been through something. If you're building a battle vest with any kind of integrity, Australian metal representation is non-negotiable, and Persecution more than earns their spot.
