OPETH Faith In Others Tee

There are death metal bands, and then there is Opeth, a band that spent thirty years making listeners feel like they were simultaneously decomposing and ascending. Mikael Åkerfeldt writes songs the way certain forests feel at 3am, heavy, beautiful, deeply uncomfortable.

Faith In Others is from an era when Opeth had fully committed to the prog side of the equation, drawing on Camel, Gentle Giant, and early 70s Scandinavian folk as much as anything with a drop-tuned guitar. If you think that's a betrayal of the death metal faithful, you probably haven't listened closely enough. This tee belongs with the collectors, the record obsessives, the dark aesthetic crowd who know the difference between Blackwater Park and Heritage and have opinions about both.
