God Is Good from 2009 is the record where Al Cisneros and Emil Amos pushed OM's meditative heaviness into genuinely spiritual territory, drawing as much from Indian classical music and sacred minimalism as from Sleep's cathedral-sized riffs. It's slow, deliberate, and completely consuming. For anyone in the stoner, doom, or darker end of the alternative music world who hasn't heard it, this is a gap in your education. For those who have, owning it on wax is the only correct move.
