Pathway, also from 2007, shows the Swedish act in a slightly more considered mode than their bombastic counterparts, leaning into the melodic metal groove with enough momentum to keep it interesting across a full runtime. It's the kind of record that rewards the collector who already owns the obvious stuff and wants to go sideways into the catalogue, the metal equivalent of finding a killer B-side you'd never heard. Power metal with actual songs, not just solos in a trenchcoat.
