NIRVANA (Love) Patch

Few symbols got absorbed into the alternative fashion vocabulary as fast or as completely as the Nirvana heart, scrawled-looking, a little wrong, absolutely everywhere by 1993 and still here doing the work thirty years later.

There's a reason this image has stuck around. It captures something about Cobain's whole deal, the aggression and the softness living in the same space, the dark aesthetic sitting right next to something almost tender. Patch it onto your jacket alongside your Black Flag bars and your Misfits skull and watch it hold its own just fine.
