NIRVANA Classic Face Psychedelic Tee

Grunge had about three good years before the music industry figured out how to sell it back to itself, but Nirvana never quite fit the mold they were handed.

The Classic Face Psychedelic design sits in an interesting space, somewhere between the lo-fi Xerox aesthetic of early Sub Pop releases and the warped, almost carnival-mirror distortion that ran through Nevermind and In Utero. It's a reminder that before Nirvana became a cultural shorthand, they were a weird little band from Aberdeen making noise that owed as much to the Pixies and Leadbelly as it did to anything happening in Seattle at the time. This official licensed tee works as well in a mosh pit as it does as a nod to that specific strain of early 90s alternative fashion that still hasn't been topped.
