MOTORHEAD The Lost Tapes Vol 4 RSD Vinyl 1984
1984. Motörhead are mid-tour, Heilbronn is about to get flattened, and somewhere a tape deck is rolling. Forty years later, that tape surfaces as The Lost Tapes Vol. 4, a Record Store Day exclusive capturing the No Remorse tour at full, unhinged velocity.
The No Remorse era was Motörhead at a particular kind of mean, a band who'd already survived being too loud for punk and too punk for metal, now just operating on their own terms entirely. This Heilbronn show hasn't been heard before, which in 2024 is genuinely rare for a band this documented. Two slabs of wax, gatefold sleeve, the kind of thing that makes a vinyl collection feel like it means something.
Format: 2LP Gatefold vinyl. / BMG for Record Store Day. Limited pressing, once it's gone it's gone.
Fans of: Lemmy's entire legacy, early thrash metal, the section of your collection that lives between Black Sabbath and early Metallica.
