MOTLEY CRUE Too Fast For Love CD/LP
Before the Sunset Strip cleaned itself up, before the arena tours and the Behind the Music episode, four degenerates from Hollywood recorded this in 1981 and put it out themselves. Too Fast For Love is the sound of Mötley Crüe before anyone told them they were supposed to be a business, and it still hits like a bottle thrown at a bouncer.
The Leathür Records original is one of the great DIY artifacts of early American hard rock, and this 40th Anniversary remaster gives it the treatment it deserves without sanding off any of the grime. Public Enemy No. 1, Live Wire, and a version of Public Enemy No. 1 that sounds like it was recorded in a parking lot in the best possible way. This is pre-fame, pre-rehab, pre-memoir Crüe, and it's mean and dumb and perfect. The kind of record that explains exactly why punk and metal were never as separate as people pretended.
Available on black vinyl LP or CD. Remastered 40th Anniversary edition, USA origin.
