An Australian band who helped put extreme metal with faith-based lyrics on the map, they earned their reputation the hard way, through relentlessly heavy output and a genuinely underground following that crossed secular and sacred lines alike.

Erasing the Goblin collects material from 2006 to 2013, a stretch where the Melbourne outfit were still pushing into death and thrash territory without softening anything for a mainstream audience. The Australian alternative and extreme metal scene has always had room for outliers, and Mortification are among the most enduring of them.
