Four tracks that document the exact moment Meshuggah shed the last of their thrash skin and became something else entirely. The precision is mechanical, the groove is undeniable, and the whole thing sounds like it was written by engineers who also happened to be extremely angry. This is the bridge between the rawer Destroy Erase Improve era and the locked-in rhythmic architecture they'd take to its logical extreme on Chaosphere.
