Kreator were part of the unholy trinity of Teutonic thrash alongside Destruction and Sodom, and this album in particular sits at the absolute peak of that movement, tighter and nastier than almost anything coming out of the Bay Area at the same time. Wearing this is a position statement in the ongoing argument about which side of the Atlantic did thrash harder.
