2019 was a rough year for Jonathan Davis. He wrote an entire album processing grief after his wife's death, handed it to Slipknot's Clown to produce, and somehow landed one of the most emotionally raw records in Korn's catalogue. The Nothing doesn't reinvent nu metal, it dismantles it from the inside.

This is the album that reminded a lot of people why Korn mattered in the first place. Not the chart-chasing Korn, not the dubstep detour Korn, the one that still had something real to say. Tracks like 'Cold' and 'The Serenity of Suffering' hit differently when you know the context. Press it on white vinyl and it becomes an artifact worth keeping.
