By 2015 they'd long moved away from the hyperblast chaos of their early Northern Hyperblast era into something heavier and more deliberate, melodic death metal with genuine weight behind it. Of Ghosts and Gods leans into that evolution hard. The riffs are thick, the hooks are earned, and vocalist Maurizio Iacono still sounds like he's settling a personal score with the entire genre. This is a band with serious longevity in the death metal world, and this album holds its own in their catalogue.
