Unknown Pleasures dropped in 1979 and the pulsar radio wave on its cover became one of the most reproduced images in alternative and punk history, which is either a paradox or just proof that Peter Saville got something exactly right. Joy Division are the origin point for post-punk, goth, darkwave, cold wave, and most things worth listening to in a room with the lights off. Ian Curtis was twenty-three years old when he recorded this record. The weight of that is still in every groove. This poster is not decoration, it's a position statement.
