JINJER Cloud Factory CD or Vinyl 2014/(18)
Every band has a record where you can hear them becoming themselves. For JINJER, Cloud Factory is that record. Released in 2014 out of Horlivka, Ukraine, it's the sound of a band locking into something that hadn't quite existed before, a collision of djent-adjacent groove, progressive metal architecture and Tatiana Shmayluk's already-fully-formed dual vocal identity.
It didn't reach most Western ears until the post-"Pisces" algorithm started sending people backward through the discography. Which is why this 2018 limited re-release matters: it fills a gap in the collection that casual fans didn't even know they had. The riffs are heavier, the production rawer, and there's a restless energy here that their later records refined but never quite replicated. Essential context for anyone serious about where progressive metalcore was heading before it became a scene.
Available on CD. Originally released 2014, limited re-issue 2018. Origin: Ukraine.
