Ten thousand days is roughly how long Maynard James Keenan waited after his mother's death to write about it. That's not a fun fact, that's the entire emotional architecture of the album, and why this poster hits differently than most band art on the market.

Released in 2006 after a five-year silence that had the entire alternative and metal underground climbing the walls, 10,000 Days folded progressive metal, grief, and Keenan's unresolved theological rage into something that still sounds like nothing else. The artwork by Alex Grey is inseparable from the music, dense sacred geometry and visionary imagery that rewards long staring sessions, which is exactly what a poster is for. This belongs above a record player or a desk covered in too many books.
