IRON MAIDEN Killers Back Patch

Before thrash existed, before death metal had a name, Iron Maiden were already doing things with album art that should have been illegal. Eddie on the cover of Killers, meat cleaver in hand, grinning like he owns the night, this is the image that launched a thousand back patches and probably got a few kids banned from school.

The Killers era Maiden is a particular kind of sacred. Paul Di'Anno on vocals, Steve Harris running the whole operation, and a record that proved British heavy metal could be nasty and catchy at the same time. This woven back patch belongs on a battle jacket that means it, not a fashion one. It's the kind of patch you build around, the anchor piece for everything else you've collected.
