Forty years on and Powerslave still hits like a sarcophagus lid to the skull. The 1984 album that sent Iron Maiden deep into Egyptian mythology, gave us Aces High and Rime of the Ancient Mariner in the same runtime, and produced some of the most iconic metal artwork Derek Riggs ever put to canvas.

This Mummy Eddie figure is pulled directly from the Powerslave tour poster and program artwork, the one where Eddie rules as a giant pharaoh over the Nile while the band plays in the shadow of the pyramids. It's the aesthetic that made an entire generation of metal kids fascinated with ancient Egypt for the wrong reasons and we respect that completely. A legitimate piece of heavy metal history, and a worthy addition to any dark aesthetic shelf, studio, or altar to the golden age of British metal.
