Benjamin Breeg showed up in 2006 as a fake MySpace profile before most bands had figured out what MySpace was actually for. Iron Maiden ran an ARG, built a mythology around a fictional Victorian-era occultist, and then dropped A Matter of Life and Death, one of the most underrated albums in their catalogue. That is the kind of move that reminds you why this band has survived everything.

The Benjamin Breeg artwork pulls from that dark, Victorian gothic tradition that Eddie has always orbited, portrait-style and unsettling in the way good horror imagery should be.
