Edmonton, Alberta is not a city people associate with post-punk, which is exactly the kind of geographic chip on the shoulder that produces genuinely interesting records. Home Front's Watch It Die sounds like it was made by people with something to prove and nowhere comfortable to prove it.

This is dark, angular alternative music that sits at the intersection of post-punk, new wave, and industrial, the kind of record that owes as much to early Bauhaus and Killing Joke as it does to anything coming out of the current punk underground. There is a cold, mechanical tension running through it that feels completely right for the moment, and completely at home in the alternative fashion and music world that ALT CVLT exists to serve. Canadian punk with a gothic spine and a grunge-adjacent work ethic.
