HIM Back Patch

There was a period in the early 2000s when HIM's heartagram was everywhere, and somehow it still wasn't overexposed. That's the mark of a genuinely powerful symbol, one that Ville Valo and Bam Margera didn't so much popularise as burn into the cultural memory of an entire generation of dark kids.

Love Metal is a real genre because HIM willed it into existence, dragging Finnish gothic rock through glam and doom and out the other side into something that sounded like heartbreak given a rhythm section. This back patch is for the people who never stopped listening, who know Razorblade Romance front to back and still feel it. The dark aesthetic holds up. It always did.
