GUNS N ROSES (GNR) Use Your Illusion 1/2 Tee

September 1991. GN'R dropped both Use Your Illusion records on the same day and somehow made it feel less like a release and more like a siege.

The Use Your Illusion era was peak chaos, a band sprawling in every direction at once, arena rock bleeding into blues, orchestration, spite and excess. Appetite had made them dangerous, Illusion made them enormous and slightly impossible to manage. This tee acknowledges both records in one shot, which is the correct position to take. Hard rock doesn't get more culturally loaded than this, and the alternative fashion crowd who came up on everything that followed, Skid Row, Velvet Revolver, the whole post-Sunset Strip wreckage, knows the lineage.
