Los Angeles has produced a lot of things the world could have done without. It also produced five degenerate rock and rollers who recorded Appetite for Destruction in 1987 and broke everything that came before them.

The Los Angeles patch is a nod to that mythology, the Sunset Strip grime, the Troubadour shows before the chaos went global, the city that made them and eventually couldn't contain them. GNR are one of those bands where the iconography is so burned into rock history that slapping the logo on your jacket isn't nostalgia, it's a statement about what you think rock music should sound like.
