GNR's later era gets slept on in favour of Appetite nostalgia, but Chinese Democracy is a genuinely strange, overproduced, maximalist rock record that only a band orbiting Axl's singular vision could have produced. This patch nods to that chapter of the story, the one where punk attitude collided head-on with arena rock excess and neither blinked. Solid company on any cut-off alongside fans of Velvet Revolver, Aerosmith, Skid Row, and the harder end of classic hard rock.
