When half of Susperia and Myrkskog decide to form a side project, you don't get something restrained. 10 Steps To Hell came out in 2005 and Grimfist spent every minute of it making sure you knew exactly what Norwegian death and thrash looked like when it had a serious chip on its shoulder.

This is machine-tight, technically sharp metal that sits in that late-90s to mid-2000s Norwegian death-thrash pocket alongside Zyklon and Panzerchrist, aggressive and precise without going full clinical. The groove element keeps it from becoming a pure technicality exercise, there's actual momentum here. A solid document of a scene that knew what it was doing and didn't need to explain itself.
