GREEN DAY American Idiot Back Patch
Say what you want, American Idiot in 2004 was the album that handed a generation of suburban kids their first vocabulary for rage, and a lot of those kids ended up here, eventually, with better patches and worse sleep schedules.
The album's pop-punk theatrics aged into something genuinely interesting, a rock opera that knew exactly how dumb and sincere it was being at the same time. The hand-grenade heart artwork is one of the more recognisable images to come out of that era of alternative punk, and it holds up on a back patch the way good iconography always does, bold, immediate, no context needed. Whether you're building a first battle jacket or filling a gap next to something considerably heavier, this sits in both worlds without apology.
Woven back patch, sew-on. Officially licensed. Origin: USA.
