GORGOROTH Black Mass Krakow 2004 DVD (2008)

On the 19th of February 2004, Gorgoroth performed a black mass in Krakow, Poland that resulted in police investigations, charges of religious offence, and the kind of notoriety most bands only dream about in their most grandiose moments. This is that show.

Gaahl and King ov Hell were at the helm, the stage was dressed with impaled sheep heads and near-naked models covered in blood, and the black metal faithful were treated to something that went well beyond a concert. Norway's Gorgoroth have always operated at the extreme end of the genre, and this DVD captures the moment their live performance became genuinely, legally controversial. The 2008 release includes bonus footage. Limited to 5000 copies pressed, so this one's not hanging around.
