Fulgora Laternaria Genuine Framed Specimen

It looks like someone let a graphic designer with serious horror influences loose on an insect. The Fulgora laternaria, better known as the Peanut Head Bug or Lanternfly, is one of those creatures that seems like it shouldn't exist, and yet here it is, growing up to 8cm and wearing a hollow, peanut-shaped head extension like it's completely normal.

Despite the nightmare fuel aesthetic, it's completely harmless. That elongated head is hollow, the mouth is a sucking straw built for plant sap, no biting, no venom, just vibes and wingspan. Found across Central and South America, it's a genuine rarity in framed collections and a conversation piece that appeals to anyone drawn to the stranger corners of the natural world. Entomology and horror have always made natural bedfellows, and this specimen sits comfortably in that overlap.
