F.U.C.T. (Forever Ungratical Corinaric Technikilation) Retain To The Aggro (2008) Digipak CD

The name alone tells you everything about where this sits on the credibility-versus-chaos spectrum, and that's a compliment. F.U.C.T. came out of the American thrash and crossover scene doing what that scene does best: being fast, being loud, and being extremely uninterested in your approval.

Retain To The Aggro arrived in 2009 as a full-length digipak release steeped in the crossover thrash tradition that connects early D.R.I. and Cryptic Slaughter to the kind of punk kids who ended up in metal because the riffs made more sense. It's not a genre-defying record. It's a genre-perfecting one, built for the intersection of the hardcore and metal worlds where alternative fashion and pit etiquette overlap. The digipak format gives it a slightly more considered physical presentation than the music probably wants, which is its own kind of joke.
