EVERON North (2008) Digipak CD

German prog rock doesn't always get its dues outside of Europe, but Everon spent the better part of two decades quietly building a catalog that rewards patience, headphones, and an afternoon with nowhere to be.

North, their 2008 offering, sits comfortably in the tradition of melodic, expansive prog, the kind that owes as much to Marillion and IQ as it does to the Krautrock undercurrents running through German rock's DNA. It's the sort of record that dark aesthetic collectors who crave substance over surface tend to keep returning to. Not flashy, just very, very good. The digipak presentation is exactly what the format deserves.
