Creep n crawl your way, level up with the ultimate spooky season boast! Learn how to clean and pin a crawler, the ultimate workshop for the creeper in all of us.

Join Tristyn Smith and your ALT CVLT Hosts to create the ultimate Halloween boast.

In this workshop we will be preparing two spiders for pinning and drying.

We will go through the process posing and drying to maintain a lifelike presentation of these arachnids.

Date: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 8th 2025.

Time: 6:00pm to 9:00pm (Please arrive 10mins before class begins)

Cost: $285 per person

Not age restricted however people under 16 years must be accompanied by a guardian.

This class is limited to 5 spaces only.

What is a CRITTERS WORKSHOP?

A critters workshop is a 3 hour class where you get to join like minded people and create a unique specimen display piece all of your own.

What will be provided

Two acrylic frames, to display your spiders when they have completely dried.

An assortment of background images and findings to decorate your frame.

One Acanthoscurria Ferina (Peru) Aka Brazillian Rusty Bird Eater

One Hapalotremus Carabaya - (No common name listed)

Everything you need to prepare these specimens and replicate the process at home.

What you need to bring

A readiness to handle arachnids

Spiders can be scary for many folks, we hope that a hands on experience in a calm environment will aid those who are still a little jittery with our many legged friends.

A long sleeved top, this will help protect your arms from any stray urticating hairs which can irritate the skin.

You will be required to wear gloves for the same reason.

Hypoallergenic vinyl, powderless gloves will be supplied.

Please let us know if you have large (above XL) hands so we can source something appropriate.

We highly encourage you to bring along some of your own pieces to customise your specimen creation in your own unique style. (e.g. little skulls, tombstones, flowers, feathers any decorations that will go with your theme)
