Elvira's Haunted Hills Vinyl

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, has been doing horror-comedy better than most since 1981, and the film scores that soundtracked her world have always been as camp and sinister as the woman herself. Haunted Hills is her 2001 romp through Transylvania, and Eric Allaman's original score, performed by the Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra, is the kind of gothic orchestral work that deserves a proper listen on wax.

This one has been out of print for years and the Elvira faithful have been hunting it down ever since. If your dark aesthetic extends beyond the wardrobe and into a serious appreciation for horror film scores, cult cinema, and the woman who made cleavage and coffins a legitimate lifestyle, this is the gap in your collection you didn't know was bothering you.
