Wrong One To Fk With arrived in 2017 and felt like a band with something to prove all over again, tight, brutal, and technically precise in a way that makes you wonder what the rest of us are doing with our hands. The Maryland quartet have always sat at a particular intersection of brutal death metal and grindcore where the riffs are genuinely mean and the breakdowns hit like a dropped engine block. This record leans into that without apology. John Gallagher's vocals are nasty, the production is dense without losing the rawness that makes this genre matter, and the whole thing moves at a pace that doesn't give you time to recover. Pure death metal, no filler.
