DOWN Back Patch

New Orleans has its own gravitational pull when it comes to heavy music, and DOWN is the centre of it. Four guys from Pantera, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar and Eyehategod getting a rehearsal room together in the early 90s sounds like a setup to a joke, except the punchline was one of the heaviest, swampiest records in the genre.

The Smoking Jesus design is classic DOWN iconography, grimy and Southern-fried and completely its own thing. Groove metal with Sabbath in the bloodline and a humidity level of about 98 percent. This is the patch for people who know the difference between sludge, doom and the particular New Orleans thing that is somehow all three at once.
