DISPOSSESSED: Dmocide Vinyl LP (Black)

Portland, Oregon produces two things in reliable quantities: rain and bands that sound like the world is ending slowly. Dispossessed belong to the second category, and Dmocide is the document.

This is death metal filtered through doom and sludge, which means it's not trying to impress you with speed. It's trying to make you feel like something heavy is sitting on your chest and you've accepted it. There's a lineage here that runs through Incantation, Winter, and the bleaker corners of the Relapse catalogue from the nineties, but Dispossessed aren't revivalists. Dmocide sounds like a band that arrived at this sound because it was the only honest option. A 2025 release that sounds genuinely ancient in the best way. Black vinyl is the only sensible choice for this one.
