By 2010, most bands were playing it safe. The Dillinger Escape Plan responded by releasing Option Paralysis, an album so violent and so precise it still sounds like an argument no one won.

This is the one with "Gold Teeth on a Bitch" and "Farewell Mona Lisa", the record that proved DEP weren't just chaos merchants but genuinely dangerous musicians who could write a hook and then immediately detonate it. Mathcore at its peak, Greg Puciato absolutely feral, Ben Weinman treating his guitar like a personal vendetta.
