Dissociation was the last thing Dillinger Escape Plan ever did, and they made absolutely sure you'd know it. A band that spent two decades making music that felt genuinely dangerous, that treated time signatures like suggestions and your nervous system like a percussion instrument, went out by recording one of the most unhinged and genuinely moving records in their catalogue.

This is mathcore at the end of its rope in the best possible sense, technical brutality collapsing into grief and chaos and something that occasionally sounds like beauty before it tears itself apart again. The gold ripple vinyl is the RSD version from 2016, pressed when the album was fresh and the farewell was still raw. DEP is one of those bands that changed what heavy music could be, and this was their goodbye. It should look as strange as it sounds.
