San Diego's Deathgrave play the kind of ugly, spit-flecked crossover between death metal and grindcore that sounds like a bar fight inside a blast furnace. It's Only Midnight arrived in 2023 and did exactly what it promised, which is to say it arrived fast, left bruises, and didn't apologise. If you've been sleeping on the heavier end of the American underground death metal scene, this cassette is a good reason to wake up in a cold sweat.
