DEATH BREATH Let It Stink (2007) CD
When Nicke Andersson walked away from the Hellacopters to make a death metal record, people had questions. Then they heard it.
Let It Stink came out in 2007 and is exactly as disgusting as that title promises. Andersson, best known for his work in Nihilist and later the Hellacopters, teamed up with Robert Pehrsson and a cast of Swedish underground lifers to drag early Stockholm death metal back into the light, filthy and grinning. The Autopsy influence is worn openly, the Carnage DNA is unmistakable, and the whole thing has that specific kind of slime that only comes from people who genuinely love this era of the genre rather than just studying it. Old school death metal done by people who were actually there the first time.
Format: CD. 2007.
