Frank Pané formed DARK BLUE INC. in 2018 with a clear brief: take the melodic hard rock tradition seriously without letting it calcify into nostalgia. Linked To Life sits in that honest, unfussy zone of European hard rock where the songwriting does the heavy lifting, hooks land without apology, and nobody's pretending the seventies and eighties didn't figure out a lot of this stuff first. It's the kind of record that fits comfortably in a collection that has Whitesnake and Winger filed without irony, which is exactly how they should be filed.
