Osaka's Crossfaith have always existed in a space most bands are too scared to occupy, somewhere between festival-ready electronic metalcore and the kind of industrial chaos that makes venue sound engineers genuinely nervous.

Ex_Machina, released in 2015, was the record that sharpened that identity into something undeniable. Tearing through tracks like Catastrophe and Wildfire, the band brought EDM drops and breakdowns into the same room and somehow made it work without it feeling like a gimmick. The Japanese scene has consistently produced some of the most forward-thinking heavy music in the world, and Crossfaith are exhibit A.
